Training  Center

Bethany has started numerous colts  including horses that later went on to a future in trail riding, pleasure, dressage and reining. She understands how to put a solid foundation of groundwork on her horses including teaching them to respect her space, move their front end and hind quarters, lunge, and more. She has trained many horses to accept strange objects around and on them including: whips, tarps, bouncy balls, ropes, kiddie swimming pools, buckets, rain jackets, and many other objects.

Bethany has experience teaching horses to be generally quiet and suita
ble for trail riding as well as advancing in other areas such as bending, counter bending, moving hips, and beginning the spin. Bethany has a solid understanding of the foundation of the spin and is  good at teaching the young horse this maneuver.

Bethany has worked with a number of well known horse trainers, such as Clinton Anderson of Down Under Horsemanship and  Jan Seutter of Seutter Performance Horses. Added to her extensive resume, Bethany Lilly has spent 2 years employed at Westfall Horsemanship.
