What is required is a comfortable facility that will accommodate a minimum of 10 pairs of horses and humans.   You can build the relationship you have always wanted with your horse!

Riders will receive group instruction as well as one-on-one attention.

Private Lessons:

Bethany brings her understanding and knowledge of horses, as well as the ability to explain about the way the horse thinks to you, the student in a very unique and fun way!

Bethany can help riders as young as 5 learn the basics of horses and how to be around them on the ground as well as in the saddle. Learning balance, posture and control of the horse using one of our seasoned 'babysitter' horses.
Bethany can even take Adults with little or no riding experience without making them feel talked down to, yet everything is explained in simple terms.

Been riding for a while? Want to learn more about the basics of reining? No problem, Bethany can evaluate when you and your horse are ready to move on to the more challenging maneuvers. Horses must be able to do some simple exercises first. Including but not limited to: Bending at the trot, Counter Bending at the Trot, Be Comfortable at the lope and in control, Backing on a loose rein.

Don't have them all down yet? That's where Bethany can help you and your horse work through your problems and be challenged as well as having fun!

Bethany knows that the best way to learn is by having fun with your horse.

Beginners:
Start on the ground, learning how to be around a horse and basic horse psychology. Then learning to lunge and teach the horse to accept scary objects. Basic horsemanship riding skills are also addressed in the hour. For example: how to mount/dismount, how to hold the reins, where your legs are suppose to be, ect.
Items needed prior to starting lessons: Boots with at least an inch and a half heel. Riding helmet for children under 16 years of age. A clear understanding that Horses are animals and can be unpredictable, a signed release form.
Children under the age of 12 must have a parent present, no drop offs please. I'm here to give a lesson, not to baby sit afterward until you get back.

Children over the age of 12 can exchange work for lessons if they so desire. (work being, tack cleaning, stall cleaning, helping unload hay when needed and feed the horses with supervision.)
Lesson prices do not change whether using your horse or mine, your house or mine, however a small travel fee would be applied if using your place to cover my gas.

Advanced:
Advanced riders are those that already have a basic understanding of how the horse works. Walk, Trot, Lope, How to move the shoulders and hips, an advanced back up (backup in any pattern I give you at a decent speed)
Advanced lessons will include learning reining maneuvers, the spin, the circles, lead changes and sliding stop. You will gain understanding of how these maneuvers are trained in order to achieve the best maneuver you can. You must be physically able to handle these lessons as well.

Lessons start at $45 an hour per student.
